Getting to know Sarah Couper
In our first session together, I conduct a thorough intake assessment covering your mental health history, current concerns, relevant medical history, and any factors that may impact your care. You will have the opportunity to share what brought you in, and we will discuss treatment options including medication when appropriate, therapeutic approaches, and lifestyle recommendations. Together we will outline an initial treatment plan that reflects your goals — because I believe you should be an active participant in your own care.
I provide a confidential, stigma-free space where you can feel safe sharing openly. Genuine connection is at the heart of how I practice — I approach every individual with compassion, active listening, and cultural sensitivity, ensuring you feel heard, valued, and fully informed about your options. My care is holistic and evidence-based, addressing the full picture of who you are — not just your symptoms.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Reaching out is the hardest step, and I'm glad you're here. At your first visit, come as you are. There's no need to have everything figured out. It helps to have a list of any current medications , past medications you've tried and how they worked for you, and any previous diagnosis you have. Most of all, bring your questions. This is a collaborative process, and your input matters. Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation, so plan for a longer appointment. Follow ups are typically every 2 to 4 weeks while we find the right treatment, then spaced out as you stabilize.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Once you schedule your initial visit, our team at For All Mental Health Psychiatry will contact you the same day to go over next steps, including filling out the "Get Started" form on our website.
To keep next-day visits and immediate care available, we ask that you join each visit on time.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy:
-There is no fee if you cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours before your visit.
-Late cancellations (within 48 hours) and no-shows are charged:
No Show Initial visit: $100
No Show Follow-up visit: $75
This policy lets us hold appointment times for patients who need them and keep our schedule open for quick access to care.
