317 N El Camino Real, 508, Encinitas, CA
Hello, my name is Sarah. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Scripps College. I am excited to be a part of your mental health journey and help you reach your goals! My work background includes crisis counseling and applied behavior analysis (ABA), which has led me to the field of mental health. I have experience working with people of diverse backgrounds. During my time in graduate school, I helped individuals, couples, and children cope with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, grief, relational distress, suicidal ideation, trauma, and co-occurring issues like substance use and chronic illness. I also assisted in running support groups for nurses and grieving parents. In the therapy room, I use a strengths-based and relationally focused approach. I utilize tools from various modalities to meet your unique needs, such as those from Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I will use both collaboration and professional guidance to support and empower you through your journey and help you reach your full potential. Outside of the therapy room, I maintain a good work-life balance. I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love music, animals, and fitness. I have a pet turtle named Turbo, and the outdoors is my happy place.
