Let’s be real—therapy should actually help. Not just feel nice (though that’s good too). You’re probably here because something isn’t working: maybe you’re stuck in your head, burned out, anxious, grieving, or just generally over it. You want things to get better, and I want that too. My style is active, collaborative, and goal-oriented. We’ll figure out what matters to you, what’s getting in the way, and what actually helps. I don’t just nod and ask how you feel about that (unless that’s useful). If you’re looking for a long, dreamy analysis of your unconscious motivations, I might not be your person. But if you want to feel seen, supported, and gently pushed, we’ll probably work well together. I bring a behavioral foundation to the work (think ACT, CBT, DBT), but I’m not rigid. I’ll meet you where you are, and we’ll build something that fits. Clients often say they appreciate that I’m warm, direct, and fully human in the room. I’m a mom, I’ve got a complicated family too, and I know what it’s like to carry a lot while still trying to move forward. Therapy with me is a space to do real work: honestly, flexibly, and together. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University and completed my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University. If you’re ready to stop spinning your wheels, let’s talk.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I subscribe to a goal-directed model, meaning that I work with you to identify goals for therapy and ways to move toward those goals. We will both be active participants in therapy - I prefer giving options and feedback along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I typically start with a structured intake where I lead the conversation by asking about who you are, where you come from, and where you want to go. Ideally at the end of this intake portion, I give options for an approach to therapy based on what I think would be helpful for your specific circumstances.
