About Sarah Lund Peterson
Sarah Lund Peterson is a board certified Physician Assistant with extensive experience in dermatology. She has been practicing dermatology in the Chicago suburbs since graduation in 2007 and is highly trained in medical, surgical and cosmetic services. Sarah provides personalized, comprehensive skin care to adults and children.
Sarah was born and raised in Minnesota, and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Olaf College. She then obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Sarah quickly discovered her love of dermatology and dermatologic procedures, and has been in the field for her entire career. Sarah manages a full spectrum of dermatology conditions including skin cancer, acne, psoriasis, eczema, and warts. She especially enjoys surgical and cosmetic procedures.
Sarah is Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and licensed to practice in Illinois. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (ISDPA). Sarah enjoys attending conferences and continuing her education in order to stay up to date on the latest treatment options and advances in the field.
Sarah lives in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago with her husband and two children. In her free time she enjoys being active outdoors with her family, travel, and golf.

The doctor and her nurse were great. Friendly, knowledgeable, punctual, no issues there. But the woman that checked me in at the front desk had an attitude. She started reciting a leangthy script about how I'm responsible for payment (of course). I listened and then clarified by asking if they would let me know before they performed any procedures that weren't covered. She immediately took on a snippy tone telling me that's my responsibility to know what's covered, and whether they are in-network, etc. That I should have figured that out before I got there. I was surprised that the staff would have no idea whether I was in their network. We went back and forth for a few minutes, and I had to make a 10 minute call to my insurance to verify. It wasn't what she said so much as how she said it. I'm sure you can imagine the type. Like what you'd expect at the DMV. Definitely the worst attitude I've been hit with at a healthcare facility. But again, everyone else was nice and professional.
