What is your typical process for working with clients?

Psychiatric Wellness provides integrative psychiatry services to patients in both Oklahoma and Colorado. Integrative psychiatry is an approach to mental health that incorporates research based approaches that include lifestyle management, nutritional approaches, sleep optimization, physical activity, natural medicine, anxiety reduction strategies, several forms of therapy and medications when needed. In traditional psychiatry often the approach is to focus on medications. Appointments are frequently only 10-15 minutes and often do not address important areas that help to improve mental health. At Psychiatric Wellness prior to your initial appointment you will be required to fill out comprehensive paperwork before your visit. Your provider will thoroughly review the paperwork and have a plan of action ready to review with you on your first visit. We spend longer with our clients at the initial intake than most clinics. Your initial visit will last 1-1 1/2 hours. Follow up visits are longer as well usually lasting 30 minutes to an hour depending on your needs. Together we help you to achieve holistic changes to optimize your mental health.
