“Sari is very attentive and insightful. She really knows what she is talking about and understands how difficult it is to come to terms with addictive behavior. She is not shaming or forceful, which makes the process of admitting you have a problem and dealing with it sometimes even more difficult than the problem itself. She is very aware of the complexity of the human brain and how that can interfere with a patient's ability to know what is best for them. I believe she is a great doctor with impeccable insight into the problems, and the strengths, of the recovery world. She is not strictly into AA, so that is helpful too :) She has helped me get and feel better, and helps me on the days I still feel lost.”

I had always been resistant to taking medication. She put me at ease and helped me understand that I did not have to suffer.

Very pleasant to speak with and very understanding.. Looking forward to a follow up visit
First visit and very impressed with her thorough and personable approach.
Great visit. Very helpful and answered all questions.
I saw Sari for 1.5 years and thought things were going well however it turns out that she had been doing a terrible job of communicating with me and completely shifted her idea of appropriate treatment options seemingly without warning and was not even willing to discuss the changes she eventually imposed. I have had some very bad experiences with psychiatrists and i wouldn't say that my time with Sari was the worst, but she did leave me in a very bad position, ultimately 1.5 years of my life came and went and the senseless timing of the changes she imposed has left me in no better a position than when I started with her, and when I started with her I was not in a good position at all.

I've been seekng her for about a year now and couldn't be happier. She really cares for her patients and works with you to find the best course of treatment. She is not a '10 minute med check' type of doctor. She spends as much time as needed with me at each appointment.
Very thoughtful. Very responsive and flexible. Highly recommend. After seeinga few different people in NY, Sari stands out as a great health partner.
Better than could have anticipated
I came in feeling so out of control but Dr. Waisbren helped me gain insight into my actions and put me on track to achieve my goals.
On the advice of a friend I went to see Dr. Waisbren. She was a good listener, easy to talk to and able to understand me. I reccomend her highly.
