About Dr. Sarika Shanmukayya
Dr. Sarika Shanmukayya earned her medical degree from Sri Siddhartha Medical College in Tumkur, Karnataka, India, and completed her internal medicine residency at Wayne State University in Detroit.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Shanmukayya treats adult patients 18 and older and speaks Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
Dr. Shanmukkayya’s primary clinical interests are preventive medicine, lifestyle medicine and obesity. She treats a wide variety of acute and chronic illnesses, with specialized experience in allergies, asthma and nephrology.
