About Dr. Sarita Dhuper
Pediatric cardiologist and pediatric weight management expert
Dr. Dhuper is a board-certified Pediatric Cardiologist, as well as board-certified in Pediatrics and Obesity Medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC). A passionate clinician, educator, and social entrepreneur, Dr. Dhuper served as the director of pediatric cardiology at Brookdale University Hospital from 1997 to 2017. She is currently the director of Pediatric Cardiology at SUNY Downstate Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at SUNY Health Science Center of Brooklyn.
In 2003, Dr. Dhuper founded Live Light Live Right. Under her leadership, the organization received funding from the Robin Hood Foundation for 12 years and has won numerous awards and recognition for its work in combating childhood obesity.

Dr. Dhuper was amazing to work with. My son was a new patient, and she was so patient, answering every question that we had, and it felt heartfelt. We felt very comfortable with her and staff. Bonus- the art in the office is beautiful to watch as you wait ??

Dr. Dhuper is an absolute gem she always makes me feel comfortable and safe when discussing my health. The staff are really nice and very efficient I m usually in and out for my appointments.

Pleasure to see Dr. Dhuper today. She is a fantastic doctor who really listens and cares. She explained very Cleary and thoroughly and answered every question I had. It was a very positive experience because she is respectful and made me feel comfortable. She truly cares for her patients.

I've known Dr. Dhuper for 3 years. She's an amazing person. Dr. Dhuper was very reassuring with my daughters diagnosis and we saw major improvements while being in her care. I would highly recommend Dr. Dhuper.
