Hi, I am Sarita Shrestha, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner dedicated to mental health. My journey in this mental health field has driven by a desire to offer understanding and personalized support for those facing life’s varied challenges. I have many years of experience of working in mental health inpatient settings and outpatient clinic. I offer care to adult individuals experiencing wide range of psychiatric problems utilizing supportive psychotherapy alone or in combination with the medication management when necessary. I have many years of experience in managing and treating individuals with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Bipolar disorders, OCDs, Sleep disorders, PTSD, Psychotic disorders, Panic disorders, Social anxiety, Addiction and Substance abuse, Eating disorder.
My mission is to provide the comprehensive patient centered care rooted in holistic approach, focusing not only on treating symptoms but also addressing the underlying cause of mental disorders. Ultimately, I strive to empower my clients to take charge of their mental health and guide them towards improved wellbeing and a better quality of life.
I seek to embrace a more comprehensive view of healing and tailor my services to recognize patients as individuals and respond to their needs, preference and values and care for individuals in their completeness with a particular focus on interrelation of the mind and the body.

Dr Shrestha is very paitent and kind. Her office has a nice calm atmosphere. Prior to my 1st visit I was very nervous, because I havent seen a Psychiatrist before but after meeting her I felt instantly comfortable. She has a wonderful positive vibe that makes it easy to open up about what you are going through. Not only is she a great listener but also explains things so you understand. I strongly recommend her.

She also connected me with a therapist. The experience with other staff is very positive and respectful. I’m truly thankful I have her as my psychiatric care provider.

This visit was fine, but for previous visits I had been waiting in the waiting room for 30+ minutes. She also has had a tendency in the past to argue with me about what are the best ways for me to manage my mental health and disregard my autonomy over my decision making, which appeared very disrespectful at the time. Luckily, she has presented herself much more respectfully during recent appointments.
