About Dr. Satu Salonen

I strive to meet every person where they are and take into account their physical, emotional, and spiritual health. My mission is to educate and empower people to take charge of their own health and cultivate wellness for themselves with a strong focus on the mind-body connection. My goal is always to get to know each person. I try to understand their motivations and challenges. And I love to provide care for people with different cultural backgrounds. How I stay healthy and happy: I spend most of my non-work time with my young daughter exploring the outdoors and the world. In addition to keeping up with her for exercise, I do yoga, pilates, dance and bike. These add to mental and spiritual well-being in addition to physical health. Food is medicine, so I spend time finding fresh nutritious ingredients and have recently started to lean into a mostly plant-based diet.
