Getting to know Saudy Kanu
Saudy Kanu, MSN, PMHNP graduated from Walden University, completing her internship at ESNO Health Group and the Psychiatric Institute of Washington in Washington, D.C. Prior to her internship training, Saudy worked for over a decade caring for adults and geriatrics in hospitals and long-term care settings. She has delivered care at many regional hospitals, including the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sinai Hospital, University of Maryland Medical Center, Prince George’s Medical Center, and Laurel Regional Hospital.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Saudy was a clinical supervisor at the Washington D.C Department of Health and was responsible for most of the department’s COVID-19 operations, including end-to-end management of supply chain at each ward, documentation, staffing activities, and support in most operations. She also led the department’s vaccination programs. She played a crucial role in vaccinating individuals in the District, the continued development of vaccination strategies, community relationships, and flexibility in responding to the increased demand for vaccinations in the District.
Saudy is the clinical director of our community behavioral health programs, which deliver care to Baltimore City and County patients. She is interested in further developing the continuum of care to follow needy patients, from the hospital to the rehabilitation facility and to any of our community behavioral health programs. She has expertise in childhood developmental disorders, adult and geriatric psychiatry disorders, wellness, preventive health, medication management, community rehabilitation assessments, developing individualized care plans, psychotherapy, and substance use disorders. She connects with clients while providing a safe, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can begin their wellness journey. Saudy is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Eli Psychiatry and Behavioral Health LLC – a private psychiatric practice in Maryland.

This is the best practice ever. There was really no wait time that I noticed. As soon as it was my time for the appointment. I was called in, and the rest is history. I am so grateful to all the staff at ESNO Health Group for their hard work and compassion in attending to people's needs.
