Dr. Saumya Joshi, MD

Pediatric Rheumatologist
FL
I’m a pediatric rheumatologist, which means I care for children, teens, and young adults with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. I’m about five years out of fellowship, and during that time I’ve had the privilege of caring for families in a variety of settings—from large children’s hospitals to nonprofit clinics—and now through my own practice. My medical training took me from India, where I earned my medical degree, to New York for pediatric residency, and then to Boston, where I specialized in pediatric rheumatology. While my training was very academic, what has shaped me most is listening to families and learning what truly helps children feel better in real life. After fellowship, I worked at Arkansas Children’s Hospital as the only pediatric rheumatologist in the state. That experience taught me how important it is to be accessible, thorough, and deeply connected to the families I serve. During that time, I also became certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound, a gentle, radiation-free way to look at joints that kids usually tolerate very well. I later moved to Las Vegas to lead the pediatric rheumatology program at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to caring for children with complex medical needs. While I loved that work, I found myself wanting to practice medicine differently—with more time, fewer barriers, and stronger relationships with families.
