What should a new client know about working with you?

Practicing in the Chicago suburbs and serving clients throughout the greater Chicago, IL area, I’m passionate about supporting people through life’s challenges. Everyone experiences mental health struggles at some point, and my goal as a psychiatric provider is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I offer individualized, patient-centered psychiatric care with a focus on medication management as part of a comprehensive treatment plan tailored to your needs. My work is grounded in a strengths-based, solution-focused framework. I collaborate closely with each patient to identify the most effective treatment strategies - including medication, therapy, and lifestyle changes - to help them manage symptoms, build resilience, and regain control of their mental and emotional well-being. I diagnose and treat anxiety, OCD, phobias, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Regardless of diagnosis, I offer compassionate, expert care with a strong commitment to helping each person achieve meaningful, lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

During our initial intake appointment, we’ll take time to understand your history, current experiences, and how these challenges impact your personal, professional, and social life. From there, we’ll develop a diagnostic impression and discuss treatment options, which may include medication, behavioral strategies, therapy, or a combination of approaches. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to your needs. Follow-up appointments are focused on monitoring your progress, making adjustments as needed, and ensuring you’re moving toward your goals. I’m always happy to collaborate with other members of your care team to provide well-rounded, coordinated support. If you’ve had limited success with medications in the past or experienced unwanted side effects, we may consider GeneSight testing to better understand how your body may respond to different medications and help guide more personalized treatment decisions. In addition to medication management, I also emphasize lifestyle factors that support mental health, including exercise, nutrition, sleep, time in nature, light exposure, and mindfulness practices. I look forward to meeting and supporting you!
