About Seamus McKenna
Seamus McKenna is a board-certified physician assistant with five years of experience in orthopedic surgery. He earned his Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Long Island University, Brooklyn, and holds a Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Albany. His interests include sports medicine, joint reconstruction, and general orthopedics. Seamus is a strong believer that the patient should always come first. He is also a proponent of thorough patient education and open communication between the patient and provider. His goal, along with that of his attending physician, is to get patients back to their pre-injury level of activity and back to doing the things they love.
Outside of work, Seamus enjoys playing golf, weight training, traveling, and cooking. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching football, baseball, and many other sports.

Visit this office before and at last visit the insurance was refused. I had to call myself the insurance to clarify issue but there was no issue!! Not sure what this office really do if can’t make a call themselves. Insurance card has all info needed.

Doctor Sheamus McKenna was very good and I would recommend him. However, the xray tech for some reason mistakenly uploaded my xrays into another patient's account so that delayed my care.

This was a totally positive experience. I booked the appointment I needed, so that I could get an xray and a valid medical examination and opinion. The office was very clean and everyone was cordial and professional. Parking was plentiful. I would not hesitate to go there again.

Doctor was very attentive and knowledgeable. Recommended different options to help solve your problem. Problem with the office they don’t have enough drag rooms and the wait time is too long waited over 30 mins to get an X-ray done.

Had very bad swelling and knee pain. My first Dr. provided a shot and a script for an MRI. Got MRI and knee was worse. Called my Dr. no answer left multiple messages with service. Knee so bad I can’t get in a car. I was hoping for brace and anti inflammatory since I had just seen Dr. two days earlier.Two days of calling Dr. no reply no call back. Finally get a call from secretary and it’s Thursday Dr. can’t see me until the following week. My wife on Zocdoc picks first available appointment for orthopedic Dr. best decision ever. I have a 50% tear in quadricep tendon. I’m immediately provided an anti inflammatory and fitted with a fixed brace to prevent a full tear.
Both Dr. Ackerman and Seamus are FANTASTIC! The entire staff could not have been nicer. I will no longer be seeing my original orthopedic Dr.
if and when you need an orthopedic Dr. no need to look any further.

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Seamus McKenna and I was disappointed with my experience. I felt that the consultation was rushed, and I didn't receive the level of attention and empathy that I expected. My concerns about unbearable pain were not thoroughly addressed, and I left without a complete explanation of my condition. I hope that in the future, Dr. Seamus McKenna can take more time to listen to patients and provide clearer information and support.
