Getting to know Sean Guinnane

Hi, I’m Sean. I’ve been working in psychiatric care for almost a decade, helping people manage anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD. My goal is to make this process feel as normal and comfortable as possible—no judgment, no pressure, just support. I believe the relationship we build is just as important as the treatment itself. I’m not about cookie-cutter solutions or a mechanical approach. Instead, I focus on getting to know you, so we can figure out what works best for you together. Whether you’re new to this or looking for a fresh perspective, I’m here to help you feel at ease and confident in your next steps.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When we work together, it’s all about collaboration. I’ll walk you through your options for medications and treatment, making sure you understand the “why” behind every decision. I want you to feel confident and informed about what you’re taking, without any of that holier-than-thou vibe you can sometimes experience at doctor's offices. I take a technical approach to prescribing, paying close attention to the details and tailoring everything to your specific needs. My focus isn’t just on avoiding the bad days—it’s about helping you feel your best and really win at feeling well.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Rather than trying to overcome the surface-level symptoms of what's appearing, we're going to come up with a neurological strategy for addressing what's going on underneath the surface to help you achieve lasting change. I'm going to try to help you by weighing pro's and con's of several options so that you can make an informed decision on which strategy that YOU would like to try.

Sean was very understanding and actually listened and cared about what I had to say. He also made sure to explain things in detail to make sure I also understood, rather than just pushing things on me. Would 1000% recommend!
Sean is honestly one of the BEST! I have worked with many prescribers for my mental health and he is by far the best one I have worked with. He is easy going and I talked with him alot and vented. He was always listening and always gave his opinions when needed. He really understands medications and I never felt like medication was the only answer and that they were ever being pushed on me. When I first met with Sean he looked at all the medications I was being prescribed and he adjusted my medications to what we only felt I needed and I have never felt better. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to work with him!
Truly a great guy. He is personable and friendly. Sean was very supportive and I felt like he took the time to really educate me and he really listened to everything I had to say. I never felt rushed during my appointments.
Sean is a nice guy. He is empathetic and caring. I felt comfortable opening up to Sean and trusting him. He thoroughly explains how the medications would work and what to expect.
Sean was pleasant to work with. He was open to hearing anything I had to say and my opinions always mattered. He was knowledgeable and I trusted his recommendations!

Sean was wonderful to work with. He is very kind and always linstened to what I had to say. Very professional and would highly recommend.
Very Genuine person! Sean took all of my concerns into account. He was always very quick to find out the root cause of a problem. He knows a lot about medications and if a medication was not working or I was having trouble with a medication he always knew what was going on and how to adjust or fix the issue. I am very grateful for him and all the help he has given me.
Sean was really great to work with. He always made sure I had a complete understanding of what we talked about before our appointment was over. I never left feeling like I had more questions or I was confused. He is very knowledgeable!
I have a hard time opening up to people, but with Sean it was very easy. He knows exactly what he is doing and knew exactly what he was talking about which put my mind at ease. I was able to trust him without any doubts and felt comfortable with the medication decisions we made together. I would most certainly recommend Sean!
Sean has a very comprehensive understanding for medications and diagnoses. He was able to adapt and adjust my medications as needed based on the symptoms I was presenting as well as really took into account with how I was feeling. He always made sure I understood the medications and how they could help my symptoms. He was always quick to get back to me with any questions I had outside of our appointments. I really appreciate all the time he spent educating me and making me feel like I finally understand myself.
