I am a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Provider specializing in psychiatric evaluation and medication management of ADHD in adolescents and adults, as well as the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, and sleep disorders.
I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, evidence-based medication management, and supportive psychotherapy when clinically appropriate. My clinical background across hospital, inpatient, and residential treatment settings allows me to accurately assess complex presentations and tailor treatment plans to each patient’s needs.
My approach is collaborative, structured, and goal-oriented, with an emphasis on symptom reduction, functional improvement, and long-term stability. I work closely with patients to ensure treatment plans are effective, well-tolerated, and aligned with their personal and academic or professional goals.
My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable from the start. Our work together is collaborative and tailored to your needs, with care shaped around what matters most to you. I strive to create a supportive space where you feel empowered to move toward improved well-being.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Please note that I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid at this time.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I start with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to understand symptoms, history, and goals. Sessions focus on diagnostic clarification, medication management, and brief supportive therapy when appropriate. Follow-ups review symptom response, side effects, and treatment progress, with adjustments made collaboratively and referrals to therapy or additional services as needed.

I had a great experience with Dr. Selami. He was incredibly communicative, informative, friendly, and professional. My first session with him was seamless, and he worked very efficiently while still feeling very personable. He was very good at explaining all necessary information about my medications coherently, without overwhelming me with information or terms I wouldn't understand.
