Dr. Seong Shim is a board-certified psychiatrist in Georgia who has been practicing since 1995. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at Chung-Ang University College of Medicine, South Korea, his Ph.D. at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology/Psychopharmacology, and completed his Residency and Schizophrenia Research Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Shim has provided psychiatric services, education, and conducted neuroscience research for mental health on the faculties of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and the Chicago Medical School for over 20 years. His research has been funded by major organizations including the National Institute of Mental Health, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, pharmaceutical companies, and research foundations. For the last ten years, Dr. Shim has served as an associate professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Shim believes in comprehensive psychiatric care using a bio-psycho-social model in diagnostic assessment, medication management, and individual psychotherapy for patients ranging from adolescents (high teens) to adults and seniors. Outside of work, Dr. Shim enjoys hiking, running, travel, and studying Gothic architecture.

I feel like I am talking to no one and I am all alone there. He was rushing me to leave 10 minutes into my visit too. I am really disappointed for wasting my time and for not having a clear path to my recovery. I am more scared now.
