What should a new client know about working with you?

We strive to create a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment where every patient feels heard and valued. We believe that effective psychiatric care begins with understanding your unique story, goals, and concerns—not just your symptoms. During your first visit, we will complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, review your medical and mental health history, and work together to develop an individualized treatment plan. If medication is appropriate, your options will be explained, we will answer your questions, and partner with you in making informed decisions. Our goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that helps you achieve lasting improvements in your mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life. Whether you are seeking help for the first time or continuing your mental health journey, we are committed to supporting you with empathy, clinical excellence, and personalized care every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation designed to help me understand you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. We will discuss your current concerns, medical and psychiatric history, medications, family history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. This thorough assessment allows me to develop an accurate diagnosis and an individualized treatment plan tailored to your needs. When appropriate, treatment may include medication management, supportive psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy and informed interventions, psychoeducation, and coordination of care with your primary care provider or therapist. Collaborative provider referral(s) will be provided to you as needed. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring your progress, evaluating medication effectiveness, addressing side effects, providing brief therapeutic support, and making adjustments to your treatment plan as needed. Our philosophy is to work collaboratively with you, providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care in a respectful, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, empowered, and actively involved in your treatment decisions.
