About Dr. Setareh Derakhshan
Dr. Setareh Derakhshan graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2011. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University. She is currently specializing in Neurology at the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies and she will be board eligible in 2014.
As an intern, she trained with the renowned chiropractic neurologist Dr. Shad Groves. This training sharpened her diagnostic and treatment skills. In caring for patients Dr. Derakhshan uses a gentle yet very effective approach. Her belief is that if the diagnosis is correct, the treatments are much more effective.
Dr. Derakhshan has training in functional medicine. Functional medicine addresses the underlying causes of disease, by evaluating how the body is performing. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of healthcare to a more patient-centered approach, functional medicine addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms.
Dr. Derakhshan spends time with her patients, listening to their histories and looking at the interactions among genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors that can influence long-term health and complex, chronic disease. In this way, she can support the unique expression of health and vitality for each individual.

They did a bait and switch. The chiropractor on ZocDoc wasn’t even scheduled for the day that I booked her, but they didn’t bother to tell me until I arrived.
Also, they wouldn’t do a full chiropractor consult unless I got X-rays that were expensive and the initial appointment was more than double I’ve ever been charged even though it wasn’t a full chiropractor evaluation

Very awesome Dr. However the intro meeting one should book their schedule for a two hour window because she goes over a lot of things and even performsx-rays so she can treat you properly. I like chiropractors that do that because I never could understand how Chiropractor could just crack your back without even looking at your spine. I’ll definitely be coming back!!!

They booked my appointment and had my insurance info before I arrived. When I arrived, after about 20 min I was told my visit was not covered by my insurance. I had to waste my time and pay for parking. They do not validate. Very unprofessional

It was a decent visit and the experience was professional. I will have to say, the main reason I chose the provider was because I was only comfortable with a female provider, as a woman myself. It was a surprise to me when I didn’t have the provider I researched and booked with but rather it was a male provider. While he was great and professional, I spent the first 10 minutes of the appointment confused thinking I would get the doctor I originally requested when I ended up never meeting her or hearing anything about her. While it was a fine visit, it didn’t stand out and I didn’t get the provider I asked for so I probably will be seeking a place that has a female chiropractor who will see me.

I am blown away by my amazing chiropractor appointment with Kristina Tauran. She took her time getting to know my health history, which parts of my body that were in pain and a very thorough examination before even adjusting me (which I had never received before and really shows her fabulous work ethic) I had never experienced that much care and attention to my needs before hand. ?I could really tell she values her job and the positive outcome of her patients as she takes her time getting to know your pain. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone in need of a chiropractor that will actually help you get better!

My first visit was absolutely perfect! I will be returning and will also recommend her services to friends and family. I went in for extreme upper neck and back pain, and Dr. Derakhshan provided excellent treatment and recommendations. I left with much less pain and more mobility. Other ongoing pain I had experienced in my arm was also treated, and I'm able to move around and stretch my arm, which was something I couldn't do for months!
