“Visit was easy to set up. Pre-check in documents were easy to fill out. Office staff were friendly and I waited less than 5 minutes for my appointment, even though I didn’t get there 15 minutes early. No issues with how the visit was set up or with accepting my insurance. Dr. Evans had a very positive attitude, listened to my concerns about possible sleep apnea, and asked reasonable questions. The appointment moved quickly, but that’s to be expected, and I didn’t feel rushed—he took the time to fully answer any questions I had. I would see this provider at this location (Kyle, TX) again.”

About Dr. Seth Evans
Dr. Seth Evans is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat specialist with a clinical focus on chronic sinus and nasal conditions, snoring, sleep apnea, and migraines. He graduated cum laude from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, Dr. Evans moved to Austin in 2011 after falling in love with the city’s energy and culture. He spent over a decade in solo practice in Kyle, Texas, caring for both adult and pediatric patients. In 2024, he joined Dr. Lieberman and the Austin team to continue delivering personalized ENT care in a collaborative setting.
Dr. Evans is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Texas Medical Association, Texas Association of Otolaryngology, and the Austin Society of Otolaryngology. He has been named a Texas Super Doctor every year from 2016 to 2024.

The doctor and staff were very nice. I don’t see myself going back there. I felt like my concerns were not taken seriously and was told to ride it out and if the issue doesn’t resolve itself “in a few weeks” to come back. “But I’m thinking it’ll resolve itself”. When your mouth hurts, you are looking for some sort of relief.
The whole appointment took 10 min and that included check in. I developed a weird thing in my tongue that looks like yeast (whole tongue) and hives on the roof of my mouth and the doctor didn’t know what it was (it hurts) and that’s fair that maybe he wasn’t sure what it was, but then was asking things that I felt were ridiculous such as “do you drink coffee? Sometimes people get this from coffee” (I’ve been drinking coffee for over 30 years and this just happened a few days ago - not coffee). Or my favorite “are you sure your tongue hasn’t always looked this way?” I left feeling duped. No relief, no tangible answer, no concern really given for the issue.

I was billed CPT code 99204 which is for a 45-59 minute appointment. The appointment wasn't The appointment was basically "Is the difficulty swallowing GERD/heartburn and I should take PPIs or is something else going on?" "Yeah, pretty much classic GERD". This excess as well as performing a scope pushed my bill very high for an initial visit.
