Getting to know Shahnaz Mulla
I believe in providing holistic, empathetic, and culturally competent care that supports clients across the lifespan. My approach integrates mental and physical health through psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I emphasize therapeutic communication and patient education, empowering individuals to understand their treatment options and take an active role in their mental well-being.
Before becoming a provider, I worked extensively as a mental health nurse in a psychiatric facility, which gave me a strong foundation in navigating complex mental health needs. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My goal is to collaborate with each client to identify and overcome the obstacles to living a healthier, more fulfilling life.
