About Dr. Shahzaib Mirza
Dr. Mirza has been practicing medicine in Southwest Florida since 2016. After completing five years with Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida as a Pediatrician, providing care for the medically underserved, he opened his first private practice, Starz Pediatrics, in Estero, FL, in 2022.
He earned his medical degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) School of Medicine in Santo Domingo. He completed his Pediatric Residency training at Florida Hospital for Children, Orlando (Walt Disney Pavilion) in 2016. Dr. Mirza was one of the first Pediatric Residents to help establish this new training program at Florida Hospital. He has a special interest in Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Flight Medicine, Mental/Behavioral Health, and the overall well-being of his patients. He believes in leading by example and maintains a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.
After noticing many gaps in our current healthcare system and the way medical services were being offered, he decided to address these by providing same-day/walk-in appointments and extended hours from 8 AM to 8 PM on weekdays, as well as half-days on Saturdays. This approach is based on the simple fact that many parents and families have jobs and careers and may not always be able to excuse themselves from work to attend a doctor’s appointment for their child. Offering extended hours helps accommodate these needs.
We strive to respect our patients’ time and offer the highest level of pediatric care possible. Starz Pediatrics provides on-site X-ray, COVID testing, specialist referrals, ADHD management, acute/urgent care services, among others. We hope to change the way medicine is provided to our patients and deliver the care you deserve.

Nurse was great. Welcoming when we arrived and clear on short wait and quick to check vitals prior to visit with Dr.
The Dr was ready to be done for the day. For being a peds clinic I thought he was short and not welcoming. I asked some follow up questions and felt like they were responded to like I was an idiot.

Bringing my special needs kiddo to a doctors office is always scary for him. He had a complete meltdown that lasted longer than I have seen in a long time. However, the staff was so patient and understanding. From the secretary, to the nurses, to the doctor. They were a real sense of calm in a difficult situation. I am very grateful for each and every one of them.
