About Shane Smith
Hi, I’m Shane Ray Smith, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Rebel Healthcare.
I’ve been in healthcare for over 15 years, spending the majority of that time as a critical care and trauma flight nurse. For over a decade, I had the privilege of caring for patients in some of the most intense, high-stakes environments—helping people when every second counted. That experience shaped not only my clinical skills, but also my deep belief in what healthcare should be: fast, effective, compassionate, and always centered around the patient.
For the past two years, I’ve practiced as a Nurse Practitioner, focusing primarily on emergency and urgent care medicine. That front-line perspective showed me the real challenges patients face every day—long waits, high costs, rushed visits, and limited access to providers.
That’s why I started Rebel Healthcare.
My goal is to break the mold of the traditional healthcare system and build something better—something more personal, more affordable, and more accessible. At Rebel Healthcare, I offer a unique model that combines same-day telehealth appointments with a highly successful GLP-1-based medical weight loss program. I believe in transparency, convenience, and giving patients direct access to their provider—without the delays, confusion, or red tape of insurance.

Shane is an amazing provider! He listens well and really wants to help you out. Great bedside manner and very knowledgeable. My husband saw him with the flu and Shane really helped him out and prescribed the proper medications and helped prevent it from getting worse.
I highly recommend Rebel Healthcare and will continue coming back to see Shane!
