Hello, I’m Shanell Gladson, PMHNP-BC. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in both psychiatric and neurological nursing. I hold dual master’s degrees in nursing education and Psychiatric Mental Health, which have equipped me with a deep understanding of mental health conditions and the importance of education in empowering clients throughout their journey to wellness.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of caring for individuals across the lifespan—from children as young as 6 to older adults up to 95 years old. I specialize in treating a wide range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.
My approach to care is holistic and person-centered. I believe that improving mental health begins with a strong foundation in wellness—addressing sleep, nutrition, lifestyle, and emotional support. When appropriate, I offer medication management as a tool to help bring balance and stability to your mental health.

For patients with depression and anxiety there will be a required depression and anxiety assessment each session to evaluate current symptoms.

If you have commercial insurance through your employer, your payments will be processed via Headway.
Headway Account Requirement
Your Headway account must be fully set up at least 1 hour before your appointment.
If your account is not set up in time, your appointment will be cancelled.
Identification & Insurance Card
All patients with insurance must upload a clear photo of their insurance card at the time of booking.
A valid photo ID is required for all patients.
If you are seeking controlled medications, a photo ID upload is mandatory.
Appointments without both a photo ID and, if applicable, an insurance card will not be accepted. No exceptions.

All intake forms must be fully completed prior to your appointment.
Incomplete forms may result in cancellation or rescheduling.
No-Show & False Insurance Policy
There is a $143 no-show fee for:
Any patient who does not attend their scheduled appointment, or

I requested receiving psychological testing. The provider did not seem to be aware of this beforehand and had additional assessments they wanted me to fill out for anxiety, depression and PTSD. During the session, they didn’t ask me any in depth questions, I had to bring up my more severe symptoms and the timeframe of the symptoms even though that information is needed for a diagnosis. Their listing said they could do an ADHD assessment but only gave me a self-report form and didn’t explain nor ask follow up questions with the result.
The entire session was 30 minutes. Psychological testing usually takes hours. After the session, I asked to view the assessments I had filled out and was told they were in the portal. There was nothing there, the assessments had to be emailed to me, and then I was told I didn’t take a PTSD assessment despite us going over my score in the session.
I wouldn’t recommend this provider for testing, but I think they would be a good psychiatrist.
