Dr. Patterson attended the University of California, San Diego, where she received her medical degree, and completed her internship in internal medicine at St. Vincent's Hospital. She completed her residency in neurology at Columbia University. She continued her training by completing a fellowship in EMG and neuromuscular disorders at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Patterson is a part of Department of Neurology. She is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also board certified by American Board Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Dr. Patterson's medical experience is vast and impressive. Her areas of special interest include autonomic disorder, diabetic neuropathy, myopathy, electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS), and brachial plexopathy. In addition to serving her patients, Dr. Patterson is the director of the electromyography (EMG) laboratory at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospitals. Dr. Patterson is dedicated to helping patients receive the treatment they need so they can enjoy a positive and fulfilling lifestyle. I don’t have a diagnosis yet as we’re waiting for tests to come back but she sent me for tests other doctors haven’t thought of and she was very thorough and kind, and she actually listened which was very different from my experience with the neurologist I saw previously.
