Shannon Davis, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, earned her Master’s in Nursing from the University of San Diego. Shannon Davis is an incredible healthcare provider. She takes the time to explain your condition, answer the most "stupid" questions (which we all need at times) and offer clarity beyond any other doctor. Sometimes a disease or illness is a moving target and requires patience and thoroughness to get to the root causes. Shannon Davis is the best example of this type of patient-provider relationship. Aside from great communication practices, she is extremely knowledgeable about medicine and physiology. Reach out to her if you are frustrated with your current health plan.

Arrived for my new patient appointment with 5 minutes to spare, and was seen right away. Front desk staff was kind. Didn't wait for the doctor more than 3 minutes once I got into the patient room. She was kind, answered my questions and had good bedside manner. The visit was short; she asked the required questions but not much more. As a new patient I didn't get the sense she invested much in making a connection with me, and she seemed slightly rushed/auto pilot mode but overall, the visit went smoothly and no major complaints.

The doctor was great. Super nice lady. However, her medical team has been a nightmare. No one ever answers the phone. Incredibly hard to get ahold of. I had to go down there to give them the information, and when I did they were not nice whatsoever. I got diagnosed with something kind of serious, and they have been lagging on putting my prescription through. They tell me they do, and I go to my pharmacy and nothing. Then they tell me they put a medication through to treat both of my conditions, and my pharmacist tells me when she asks them about it, they don’t even know what the condition is. My condition is getting worse and worse. Super unprofessional. I’m typically not one to leave a review, but I could of had this cured DAYS ago and yet I still haven’t received treatment or been able to get ahold of the office.

I love her! She made me so comfortable when I was coming in for a pap and anual exam. I had a lot of questions and she made me feel like I could open up to her and just be 100% honest. I found my new OBGYN and will continue to come back to her because she is really great!

I saw Shannon Davis for a basic physical first and was not overly impressed, but felt she was fine enough to see again about a health problem a couple weeks later.
My appointment started off a bit sour because the nurse who took me back to the office insisted upon weighing me, even though I'd been there 2 weeks before and politely asked if we could skip that part. I am neither over nor underweight, so it is not a medical concern, but I happen to be extremely sensitive about it nonetheless and its triggering for me to look at my weight. It would have been easy for her to let me skip that.
So once Shannon came in, I felt like she did not ask me very many questions about my problem and was overall dismissive and unhelpful. I am a nurse and I don't seek medical attention unless a problem I'm having is causing me extreme distress and it took a lot for me to come in so it was really frustrating to not feel like I was being heard or treated as a whole person. I have found NPs in the past to be more caring, better listeners, and take more time with patients, but this was not the case with Shannon. She was smiling and pleasant on the outside, but seemed to want me in and out of the office as quickly as possible.
If you just need a routine physical or something, she is fine. But if you have a real health concern, don't waste your time and money.

HORRIBLE ! SHE HAS AS BAD ATTITUDE! Very unprofessional she came off without meeting me first as a totally unprofessional indecent women and Doc . She basically question me and acted as if I know things that only a doc knows about prescription. And how I wasn't suppose to take confinlicting meds. Then to find out she pulled some report up about my medical history before even talking to me. So she assumed and labeled me as guilty before proven innocent. And then called me a lier when I told her the truth. So I found out what she was she did and what report she pulled. Then I found out that Docs don't need to pull this report but can based on suspicion. So I was labeled and discriminated against by her. Also I went to this same place before only a month ago and the gentleman that helped me did non of these things she did. I feel disgusted with her service. I mean I can't stop a doc from looking in my files but ASKING ME FIRST IS REQUIRED. Also if it part of a docs process then cool but That wasn't the case. As soon as she started talking to me as I am a criminal I hit Video to record her. So I am taking this Legal and I will be suing for Slander, Discriminating and infringement of privacy with out cause. Also she said she would contact other doc's I have seen and one I am seeing and this is without permission from me and or without me involved. So I don't recommend this Shannon Davis. Every one else in the Office is EXTREMELY NICE! I'TS SAD I HAVE TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION BUT DEFINITELY DESERVING! OH BTW I'M WAITING FOR SHANNON TO CALL MY DOC'S FUTURE OR PAST. INFRINGEMENT OF RIGHTS IS UNLAWFUL SO BECAUSE YOU ARE DOC BY TITLE DOESN'T MEAN YOU CAN DO ANYTHING WITHOUT THE PATIENT AND OR CLIENT. SO SEE YA IN COURT.

I'm new to CA so without any recommendations I booked Shannon off zoc doc because I was wanting to try using a NP as my GP after reading about people having more positive experiences with Nurses rather than Doctors. I am very happy I did because I finally had a great experience going to the dreaded annual. It was the first time EVER in my life I didn't have to wait at a Doctors appt. They took me back right when my appointment was and I didn't have to wait once in the room. The entire staff was very friendly and warm.
I highly recommend Shannon Davis as a GP. She was very thorough, knowledgable and had great bedside manner.
