Getting to know Shannon Mostafiz
I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with expertise in integrative psychiatry, consciousness-based mental health, trauma-informed care, and ketamine-assisted treatment. Since 2019, I’ve supported more than 10,000 ketamine treatment sessions, and I have extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma-related conditions, and treatment-resistant mental health concerns.
My approach integrates mental health care with parts-based work such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapies, meditation, and other holistic modalities. I’m also a doctoral student in Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where my interests include consciousness, non-ordinary states, and their relationship to psychological healing within psychiatry.

I look to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel heard and involved in shaping their care.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, life transitions, and treatment-resistant mental health conditions. I have a particular interest in complex and psychospiritual presentations, including concerns related to meaning, identity, consciousness, attachment, and relational patterns, as well as in supporting patients who may not have found adequate relief through traditional approaches alone.
