Psychologist

Life’s experiences are wide-reaching. At times we struggle with our thoughts, our emotions, how we interact with others, and our beliefs about ourselves. Sometimes we are able to navigate through these situations quite well. Other times our capacity to cope and manage these concerns become limited. While both responses are completely normal, it can be helpful to have a supportive voice along the way via therapy. From my first experiences as a peer counselor in middle school, to practicing as a psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology, I strive to be that supportive voice - to create a safe and secure space where people can be seen and heard. I conduct individual therapy with adults who experience anxiety, mood concerns, adjustment issues, life transitions, trauma, and medical concerns. I help build coping skills, develop self-care, establish boundaries, and enhance self-esteem. My practice is culturally sensitive and affirmative. I support individuals through identify development and I help explore how our unique experiences influence how we relate within this world. My therapeutic approach is holistic and integrates person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches. Together we can see what approaches best support you - your journey, your goals, and your quality of living.
