About Shannon Vollmer
Shannon Vollmer, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of both the Society of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and the Nurse Practitioner Society of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association.
Shannon began her nursing career after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Polk State College in 2011 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida in 2013. She gained broad clinical experience as a registered nurse in various specialties and later worked as a travel nurse, caring for diverse populations across the United States — including in Alaska and Hawaii.
After returning to her home state of New York, Shannon earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Family Health from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, graduating in 2020. During her clinical training, she discovered a passion for dermatology and went on to complete the Advanced Practice Provider Program at Schweiger Dermatology Group, where she had the opportunity to train with some of the nation’s top dermatology providers.
Now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Shannon provides care at Pinnacle Dermatology in Monroe, where she is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based treatment. Her approach centers on building trust with her patients, educating them on their conditions, and working collaboratively to develop treatment plans that support both skin health and confidence.

Walking through the door to the front desk , I was greeted immediately by the receptionist. I love how personable and friendly she was getting me registered. After being walked to the patient room by the friendly specialist explaining the next steps then the Nurse comes in and goes over the all options of skin tag removal. This procedure was so relax and painless. I love how she explained every step and what to expect. 10/1000.
