About Dr. Sharanbir Gill

Sharan Gill, DPM, is a board-qualified podiatrist with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, serving patients at Bay Area Foot Care at their location in San Jose, CA. Dr. Gill was born and raised in Southern California. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from University of California – San Diego with an emphasis on Physiology & Neuroscience. Dr. Gill then went on to attend Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. During her time there, Dr. Gill immersed herself in leadership opportunities including acting as President of the American Public Health Association and coaching her peers at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She continues to be involved in a number of organizations that support her continued advancement including, the American Association for Women Podiatrists (AAWP), the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), among others. Following graduation, Dr. Gill completed her Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with a credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. Today, Dr. Gill practices in San Jose at Bay Area Foot Care where she enjoys evaluating and treating all Podiatric-related conditions. Fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu, Dr. Gill is uniquely equipped to welcome and treat patients in the San Jose community with compassion, care, and expertise. Outside of her practice, Dr. Gill enjoys hiking, oil painting, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

The doctor is a good person. But I was looking for an update on my flat feet diagnosis because my last time at a podiatrist was 20 years back, and I have been using the same insoles prescription all that time, but I felt the diagnosis was superficial, there was no request for additional exams, or check ups if my back or legs are doing ok even though I said I get knee pain sometimes. I even asked for exercises to do to recover from the flat feet, but I got less suggestions than instagram or a shoe store would give me. The only follow-up from the doctor was getting her insoles. I am sorry, I felt underwhelmed with the attention.

Best experience I’ve ever had with a podiatrist. Takes a lot of time to do proper patient education. Amazing bedside manner, I feel comfortable enough to ask any questions. Made my pain go away very quickly. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend.
