Hello and welcome to Woosah Wellness! I am Dr. Shareefah Hamilton Davis, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Chicago’s prestigious Rush University, and I have more than 10 years of experience as a psychiatric/mental health nurse in New York and Florida.
I have roots in Jamaica, and I cherish the Jamaican motto, “Out of many, one people.” This has shaped my worldview in that I was raised to love people of all colors, shapes, sizes, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. In my spare time, I embrace self-care by spending quality time with my son and vacationing in my favorite island spot, Bimini, Bahamas.

I usually find the first appointment with any therapist to be rather awkward, but she felt very non-judgmental, was a great listener and made me feel super comfortable. I felt hopeful that we could figure out a good meds plan and I look forward to our next session. She also sent me helpful resources.

There were some technical issues at first, but it was negligible as I am happy with my experience with Dr. Davis. Even though they knew my diagnosis AT THE OUTSET, I clocked out of work and spent 45 minutes having a consultation only to be told at the end of my session that my condition "is not treated at SOHO MD." I re-iterated that I also have X condition I would like help in managing but was still basically turned out. They knew my 3 diagnoses at the front end so why have the appt still? I wasted 45 min disclosing personal information and then being charged a co-pay (bc they ask for your card beforehand; very tricky) and receiving literally nothing in return.
