About Shari Ashton
Shari Ashton, PA-C, was born in Maine and raised in New England. She attended Elon University in North Carolina, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Human Services and Psychology. She was inducted into several honor societies. Shari then earned a Master of Clinical Medical Science degree and her Physician Assistant certificate from Barry University. In 2000, she began her medical career in Family Practice, where she discovered her passion for Dermatology. In 2009, she transitioned to the field of Dermatology.
In her spare time, Shari enjoys reading, traveling, crocheting, and going on adventures with her two sons.

Reception was friendly and very helpful. Short wait to be taken to an exam room. Nurse was very personable and clear with instructions. Dr. arrived after 5 or so minutes. Very pleasant and thorough. Answered all of my concerns.

I have waited months in the past to see a dermatologist. This appointment and follow up appointments were timely. The staff were friendly an efficient and the doc was thorough. She asked and listened, did what needed to be done and I did not feel rushed. Very pleased with the practice.

I was a little shocked that after working with multiple dermatologists over the years to treat my rosacea, Shari took a quick look at me and said that I don’t have rosacea. I had to convince her to refill my prescription to get my flare-up under control, and when I asked for a new topical recommendation, she said there aren’t any that will help and that my only option is to go to their Bedford location to get laser treatment. Not very helpful, will not be returning.

Receptionist was nice. As far as the medical assistant and PA, not so much. I waited 40 minutes to be seen for a 3 minute conversation without any examination of my concerns, any history being taken, or any real recommendations beyond “don’t pick your face” despite having lesions on scalp and ears that had been unresponsive to doxy. Left with....another one week script for doxy and no follow up. Pretty condescending throughout and allowed no time for questions. Felt like waste of time and money.
