About Sharon Hochhauser
Sharon is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her education was completed at Lehman College, Hunter Bellevue School of Nursing and Queens College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. With dedication and diligence, Sharon completed rotations at Brooklyn Hospital’s Maternity unit, Lutheran Medical Center’s Pediatric unit and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, GI unit as well as other challenging hospitals in the New York area.
Sharon maintains affiliations with Northwell Health Imaging Center in New York as a dedicated member of their radiology team, working closely to administer IV’s , counsel patients and monitor them for adverse reactions. She also worked at Mercy Medical Center in their fast-paced emergency department, offering compassion and expedient care to those in need of medical attention. In her spare time she is an active participant in community outreach, sharing her experience and training with others. Her charitable work includes coordinating blood drives, participating in bone marrow drives and volunteering in the oncology department at NYU Langone Medical Center.

The receptionists were all outstanding and pleasant. The wait time was lengthy but not the worse ever about 40 minutes. As far as the physician, I didn’t really feel heard. I felt like a bother for even asking about my health. Maybe I caught her on a bad day but first impression is the most important.

The office called and confirmed my appointment, however when I arrived the receptionist did not have my appointment. She did however accommodate me and I was seen right away.

I had the pleasure of meeting NP Sharon Hochhauser this morning. She was very nice,very professional,thorough,knowledgable and honest. She listened to me and took time to explain the reason of my consultation,management of same and additional testing (blood work) to rule out any underlying issue. I was very pleased with this visit. A dedicated and caring health professional. I have found my new dermatologist.
