About Dr. Sharon Lawrence
Sharon Lawrence, MD is a board-certified general surgeon. She is certified in robotic surgery, which allows surgery to be performed in a minimally invasive way in order to reduce pain and convalescence time for her patients. She performs a wide range of general surgery procedures, such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, skin and soft tissue excisions, bowel resections and colectomies for benign disease. She also has experience providing acute care surgical services for adults and children.
Dr. Lawrence attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for her undergraduate studies, and earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed several years of oncology research at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Duke University. Dr. Lawrence also filled the role of Chief Resident for Simulation Curriculum Development during her surgical training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ. In this role, she provided simulated surgical scenarios for trainees to allow them to safely hone their surgical skills.
Dr. Lawrence is excited to start her own surgical practice in North Arlington, NJ, and is taking new patients. She currently operates at Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, NJ.
