This was my first ever session with a therapist, so I was extremely nervous. After our session, I was left feeling like someone had genuinely heard me and truly understood where I was coming from. She listened intently to me and asked me deep questions that helped me explore my feelings and needs . She even gave me homework to help me practice and think about the week. She made some recommendations on medications to help my anxiety as an optional tool but she emphasized that it wasn’t a strict requirement. I left feeling very hopeful about the future, and wanting to continue my therapy journey. I’m so glad I decided to do this.
