What should a new client know about working with you?

When you start working with me, you’ll find a safe, nonjudgmental space where your experiences matter. I believe in collaborative care, which means I’ll listen closely as you share your symptoms, history, and goals so we can create a treatment plan that reflects your needs and values. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I’m trained to provide both therapy and medication management. I’ll work with you to explore what feels right, whether that’s therapy alone, medications, or a combination. I regularly check in to make sure your treatment is helping and that you feel informed and supported at every step. My goal is to walk beside you, offering tools, insight, and care as you navigate your mental health journey. Healing starts with trust and understanding, and I’m here to build that with you.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, lasting about 45 to 60 minutes. During this time, I’ll gather information about your mental health history, symptoms, medical background, and current life situation. We’ll talk about your goals and past experiences with treatment, so I can understand your full story and make an accurate diagnosis. After the evaluation, we’ll work together to build a personalized treatment plan. This might include therapy techniques, medication, lifestyle changes, or all of the above, always shaped by your preferences and comfort. Initially, we’ll meet every 2 to 4 weeks to track your progress and make any needed adjustments. Once things are more stable, we can space out sessions to every 1 to 3 months. I also provide emotional support, education, and coping strategies throughout our work together. Whenever it’s helpful, I coordinate with other providers like therapists or primary care doctors to ensure your care is connected and consistent. My aim is to help you feel empowered, supported, and confident in managing your mental health.
