Getting to know Shaterria Warren
As a provider, I strive to help you attain the goals you feel are realistic. Not only do I provide medication during my sessions, but I also take time to genuinely check on my patients' well-being. My special interest lies in neurodivergent disorders including ADHD and Autism over the life span. I hold a Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Texas, Houston, which guides my approach to compassionate and comprehensive care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Before my Nurse Practitioner license i was a certified Psychiatric RN.I treated mental health patients on the front line for 10 years which makes it easier to actually understand what my patients are going through.I offer real therapeutic communication as well as open and honest understanding.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
My sessions are never rushed and i am able to go beyond the "15min medication follow up " if needed. As your provider my first question to you is how do you want me to help you, this is vital in our patient-provider relationship because i never seek to impose my thoughts or opinions.

Communication was difficult, being that I have long work hours and receiving hourly pay, it was hard to find the right time to have an appointment set where I didn’t need to schedule further out than normal or get the time I had wanted. While the practitioner was kind, I feel like I’m not being taken seriously as I’m about to run out of my medication prescribed by this person and now have to see another practitioner with better availability to my working schedule. I was optimistic when I saw she had 5 star reviews across the board, but unfortunately that was not my experience. My most recent appointment, she was pretty late and only to discover that she needed to cancel and I missed a part of my working day I could have been paid more had I not taken time off for an appointment. Was also told she would contact the immediate weekend to reschedule but I got no communication or direction that weekend, and was then referred over 7 days later to another practitioner.
