It offered me insight and allowed me to determine the best provider that would align with my needs and areas of treatment. I was able to connect with a therapist the next day, and she has been a great fit so far. The initial assessment is key, so make sure you take the time and try to answer the questions as clearly and as detailed as you can. SR Psychological Services, P.C. is a group practice of caring and compassionate psychologists and psychotherapists practicing in New York City. We are trained clinicians with experience treating a wide range of psychological conditions. We will work collaboratively with you to develop a plan of care to reduce symptoms that are ailing you, promote healing, and create lasting emotional, cognitive, and behavioral change.
Dr. Riley, who earned a PhD from the University of Akron and a Master’s degree from Columbia University, will complete your clinical screening and offer you an appointment with a trained clinician in the practice. We do not prescribe medication. If you are seeking a medication appointment, we will not be able to assist you.

I am not sure it is appropriate for this specific provider to be on zocdoc. Dr. Riley is in a group practice. The office has a number of providers and booking an appointment with her directly through zocdoc expecting that you will meet with her during the time scheduled is misguided. The office contacts you to complete paperwork for the remote platform. Then they ask you to complete a phone screening. I specifically selected Dr. Riley because I wanted a Black woman psychologist. I agreed to a compromise after being screened by another psychologist. He noted an opening the next day -- no appointment was actually available on the day I had selected and that was confirmed by the office. It was highly frustrating because I was not available during the time he proposed and he actually did not have availability again for more than a week and was not consistently available for weekly therapy. The bait and switch really rubbed me the wrong way. My time was not valued. They were nice, not kind.

I initially booked with Dr. Shatiece, however, she contacted me and informed me she only did the initial assessments and would match me up with another suitable provider. I was a little disappointed at first as I was expecting to meet with her and had chosen her based on her ZocDoc profile, but I was still, ultimately satisfied with the provider I was matched up with.

NEVER AGAIN. This is why I never looked for help from a therapist.They took down all my information,everything I was going through I told them, I even broke down a little while talking to her because of all the things I was going through. So Riley typed up everything I needed help with and said someone is going to contact me with a time that would be suitable for me. I texted them but never got any call back or text back about the time that worked for me so they have all my information there for what?
Someone finally comes out of their head and try to get help and there’s no follow up? Not even a call as to if I’m going to follow up, NO, I will follow up with a more professional therapist that is really looking to help those and put their license to use.
