After graduation, he worked as an EMT/paramedic and in a cardiac cath lab. During this time, he learned that he loved patient care. Shawn went back to school and earned his master’s in physician assistant studies from the University of Detroit Mercy. As a physician assistant, his clinical interests include virtual care, orthopedics and occupational injuries. “I believe that listening leads to understanding and this leads to better care.” In his off time, Shawn enjoys traveling with family, paddling, hiking and exploring national parks.
