About Dr. Shawn George
Shawn George, DO, is a skilled internal medicine physician serving patients at Yorktown Health in Lombard, Illinois. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Chicago. Dr. George then went on to receive his master’s degree in Biomedical Science from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. Dr. George completed medical school at DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and performed his internal medicine residency training at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois. Dr. George is excited to serve his local community and anyone who is in need of primary care attention. My experience was great! I got a call from the office, they helped me fill out all the information I needed for my appointment. As I got checked in I was called in right away. The nurse was very nice and was telling me what she was going to do step by step. It was comforting. When Doctor Shawn George walked in, he was very nice and friendly. I really appreciated his help and guidance. I don’t usually go to see a doctor for help, but I trust Shawn. He is a smart, respectful doctor that helped me a lot during my appointment. ?

He’s very insightful and is not dismissive. I was able to open up to him about some of the less than normal symptoms I’ve been experiencing and he was non judgmental when it came to hearing about them. Hopefully all goes well and I can go back to normal daily life soon, but if I had to I would not mind returning to him for help.

upon starting the video visit the first words the doctor said was "well I can see why your here" as I was having an eye infection and my eye was visibly swollen and infected. I asked for a note to show to my employer as I called off of work since I was uncomfortable going in. I was told that unless I am physically seen in the office, they can not email me a basic note, but they were able to provide a prescription.
in the past I have had other providers email myself, or my employer notes when I am under their care. I had to book another appointment with a different provider to assist me who provided me with documentation to show to my job as they requested a doctors note since I told them I would bring one when I called off.
