About Dr. Shawn Shih
Dr. Shih is a dermatologist board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is an expert in diagnosing and treating various conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nail, such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, melasma, hair loss, and skin cancer. Dr. Shih stands on the forefront of dermatologic advances and offers the most up-to-date treatments to patients of all ages. He also excels in cosmetic dermatology, combining advanced techniques to improve acne scars, hyperpigmentation, and other cosmetic concerns in patients of all skin types. Utilizing a variety of tools and techniques in his toolbox, including neuromodulator (wrinkle relaxers), dermal filler, chemical peel, subcision, and various lasers and energy based devices, he strives to deliver natural results tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Known for his personalized and gentle approach, Dr. Shih is committed to creating a meaningful and lasting impact in his patients’ lives, empowering them to look and feel their best from the inside out.
Dr. Shih received his bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology. He completed his medical degree at University of Central Florida, College of Medicine, followed by an internship at his home program in Orlando, Florida. He completed a prestigious dermatology residency at Boston University, where he trained with world renowned experts in skin cancer, hair loss, and skin of color. Dr. Shih was the recipient of the prestigious Skin of Color Society Research Award. He has authored numerous book chapters and publications in top peer-reviewed dermatology journals, such as Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Shih is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a volunteer instructor at the department of dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital, committed to teaching the next generation of dermatologists.

I'm still waiting for the medicated shampoo the Dr. said he was giving me a prescription for. Prescriptions are usually sent right away to my pharmacy. I don't know why it wasn't. Very annoying.

Unfortunately, I went to the clinic today five minutes before the appointment time and waited near the door for twenty minutes while the rain was falling on me. However, I was surprised that no one answered me. After that, I returned home.
