Dr. Sheema Imran, MD, FAPA is a highly respected, dual-board certified psychiatrist with extensive expertise in General and Geriatric Psychiatry. She is deeply passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of adults and older adults, helping them lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. Dr. Imran pursued her General Psychiatry residency at New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, New Jersey, where she served as Chief Resident and gained extensive experience managing a wide range of psychiatric disorders. To further specialize in the mental health care of older adults, she completed a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the world-renowned NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine in 2019, training under leading experts in the field. After completing her fellowship, Dr. Imran served as Director of Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry at RWJBarnabas Health Behavioral Health Center in Toms River, New Jersey, from July 2019 to June 2024. In July 2024, Dr. Imran assumed the role of Medical Director of Psychiatry at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Hackensack Meridian Health, where she continues to oversee psychiatric services, mentor physicians, and advocate for comprehensive mental health care within the hospital system. Dr. Imran is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association (FAPA) and is dual-board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry. She remains actively involved in education, mentorship, and advocacy, working tirelessly to improve access to mental health care for aging individuals. Above all, Dr. Imran believes in the power of psychiatry to transform lives. She is deeply dedicated to her patients, striving to help them achieve emotional well-being, independence, and a higher quality of life. Known for her empathetic and patient-centered approach, she continues to be a leader in advancing geriatric mental health care and reducing the stigma surrounding psychiatric disorders.

    For our Self-Pay patients, we provide Super-Bill so they can file with their insurance for reimbursement. For our patients whose insurance carriers are accepted by us, we are happy to bill the insurance company directly. However, any co-pays and/or deductibles are due at the time of service. Patients are still responsible for the entire payment of services provided, just in case if insurance company denies payment for whatever reason.
