Dr. Thomas earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee. She holds a bachelor's degree from Indiana University. Functional Medicine doctors typically take their time to understand their patients' needs thoroughly. An initial intake visit can last from one to two hours. This time frame does not align well with the insurance model, as insurance companies typically reimburse physicians for only about 15 minutes of the visit.
