“I made an appointment with Shelby, PA, to get a second opinion regarding a skin rash that I have had on and off for many years. Shelby is much more thorough than my previous dermatologist office that I have been going to for years and I definitely would recommend her for anyone who wants to see someone with a good bedside manner, friendly office, staff, and extremely thorough. It’s one of the first times I’ve felt heard by a healthcare professional as I have been in pain with no clear diagnosis. She did perform a tiny biopsy, which did not hurt at all , and waiting for the results so we can figure out exactly what’s going on. I really want to get a clear diagnosis for this situation so moving forward I can take the appropriate medications along with peace of mind. I have strong confidence in knowing that I'm in good hands.”

Shelby Saltsman, MMSc, PA-C, is a licensed and board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in Dermatology. Shelby grew up in Atlanta, GA where she completed her Physician Assistant training at Mercer University. Prior to joining Golden State Dermatology, Shelby practiced medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology in both the Bay Area and Atlanta. Shelby loves educating her patients on proper skincare practices and helping people look and feel their best. She is excited to continue her passion of providing excellent dermatologic care in beautiful Southern California. When she’s not seeing patients, Shelby enjoys exploring LA with her husband, running, and trying new restaurants.

Shelby Saltsman P.A. was the best dermatologist I’ve seen in years. She is smart (very), kind, knowledgeable, efficient, and did an incredible job. Great demeanor! The receptionist and medical assistant were terrific as well!! I’m sending my husband in to see her next! Highly recommend!!!
