About Dr. Shelley Perline
Dr. Shelley Perline was born and raised in Ithaca, NY. She graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo. After earning her Doctorate of Chiropractic, cum laude, from the New York Chiropractic College, she became board certified to practice chiropractic and physiologic therapeutics. Certified by the Academy of Family Practice, Dr. Perline is qualified to treat children and pregnant women and is Webster Technique Certified.
Dr. Perline opened her NYC practice in 2003 and has been happily serving the Manhattan community ever since. When Dr. Perline is not spending time with her husband and four children in Long Island New York, she is studying new techniques and tools to enhance her chiropractic work. A strong believer in continuing education, Dr. Perline travels throughout the country visiting seminars and workshops in order to explore further the intricacies of the human body and to learn new ways in which to maintain health.
Dr. Perline's love of family and community is fundamental to who she is, and it gives her the ability to be truly compassionate in her treatment and education of her patients. Ultimately, Dr. Perline’s desire is to support the health and well-being of all patients, including infants, children, pregnant women, adults and seniors.

Dr. Shelley is thorough in going through patient's medical history which might be relevant and listen closely to the issues faced. She also made clear explanation on the problem faced by patients and clearly explained each step/procedures used to help patient. All in all, it was a pleasant session giving some release to the tightness felt even on the first visit.

I’ve had back pain for about a month and was concerned it wasn’t healing quickly on its own - and was at a loss on how to help the healing on my own. The first visit was very informative on my condition / treatment plan but I didn’t feel better after the first treatment. After the second visit, I woke up without pain for the first time in weeks. Felt like magic. I’ve now had 3 treatments and feel almost back to normal. (She recommended 8 treatments overall).
I also like the doctor. She’s kind, patient, knowledgeable and empathetic. She helped me with suggestions on stretching exercises and sleep/rest positions to minimize pain.
I’ve never seen a chiropractor before so I was nervous it wouldn’t help, but I’m very happy I went this route and with this specific provider. I’d recommend 100%!

She also came up with a clear treatment plan in terms of starting off with more regular appointments to treat the initial problem and then what maintenance would look like, if needed, down the road in terms of future visits which I appreciated.
