I'm Shelly Clavis, a doctoral-prepared, dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with over 11 years of clinical experience. I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Rutgers University, my Master's in Family Health Nursing from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and an Advanced Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University. I'm passionate about delivering compassionate, whole-person care that supports patients not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too.
Throughout my career, I've worked to bridge the gap between primary care and mental health, using a holistic, integrative approach that empowers my patients to live healthier, more balanced lives. Whether managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or substance use challenges, I tailor each care plan to meet the unique needs of every individual I work with.

I believe that healing happens best in a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard and understood. My goal is to partner with you, help you explore the root of your challenges, and guide you toward long-term wellness using evidence-based treatment and compassionate care.

We’ll start with a comprehensive assessment to understand your physical, mental, and emotional health. From there, I’ll work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan that may include therapy, medication management, or a combination of both—always keeping your goals, values, and comfort at the center of care.

I booked an appointment, received the confirmation from Zocdoc, completed all of the tasks, and prepared for the visit as instructed through Zocdoc. However, the doctor never reached out to me. I called her office several times and left messages explaining that I never received an email with a link for my Zoom appointment. I never received a callback, email, or anything.
