About Dr. Shena Martin

Chiropractic Physician / Certified Acupuncturist Dr. Shena first started her journey with chiropractic care when she injured her shoulder as a swimmer for Lakewood Ranch High School. As a patient of Dr. Cindy’s, her curiosity grew about the field of chiropractic and she soon began working at HCW. Over the years, she not only worked as a chiropractic assistant while attending college, but she also was a nanny for the Hornback kids, Estella and Hayden. After witnessing the amazing results of chiropractic care with patients and her own ailments, Dr. Shena decided to become a chiropractor herself! Dr. Cindy has been a mentor of hers for years, so after graduating from University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, she soon followed in her footsteps by attending Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri. Dr. Shena is currently pursuing her ICPA certification to further specialize in pediatric and pregnancy care where her passion lies. Dr. Shena is proficient in Diversified technique, Cox Flexion-Distraction, Thompson Drop, Kennedy Decompression Technique, Logan Basic, Active Release Technique and Activator Methods. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and is certified in Acupuncture by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. In her free time, she enjoys boating, attending Lightning games, spending time with family and friends and playing with her Labrador, Finley. Dr. Shena is currently accepting new patients from 0-100+ and can’t wait to meet your family!
