Patients 45 and younger may schedule their "Annual Physical" directly. Dr. Sherilyn Wheaton is board-certified in Family Medicine. She earned her bachelor?s degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and went on to receive her medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. Dr. Wheaton completed her Family Medicine Residency Training Program at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, followed by a year at Harvard University, where she earned a Master of Public Health in Family and Community Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Before joining Primary Medical, Dr. Wheaton worked in Urgent Care at the West Ventura Medical Clinic for several years and served as the Medical Director of Ventura County Healthcare for the Homeless. Most recently, she worked in primary care in Santa Barbara. Dr. Wheaton is fluent in Spanish, enjoys gardening, and loves working on her potter?s wheel whenever she can.
