Hi there, I'm Sherna. I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner with 7 years of experience in the field. I hold a Master's degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from South University. I am detail-oriented with strong patient care skills, working within a fast-paced, diverse clinical population. I am comfortable working with individuals facing substance abuse and recovery, treating a wide range of medical conditions including sexually transmitted diseases, Hepatitis B and C, and I am an expert in Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). I also manage severe issues such as suicidality and major mental illnesses.
I have an excellent background in psychopharmacology and a strong interest in responsibly measuring outcomes of new treatment modalities. With good listening and communication skills, I engage with patients efficiently and effectively. I use a holistic approach to mental and medical health, focusing on the whole person-mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially-not just disease symptoms. I utilize health promotion and disease prevention strategies to empower individuals to choose healthy behaviors and make changes that reduce the risk of chronic diseases and other morbidities.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
