Shimika Barrolle, DNP, FNP-C is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her BSN at Georgia Southern University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a concentration in Population Health degree at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.
After receiving her graduate degree, she completed a 2-year Post Graduate Training Program in medical dermatology. During this program, she was mentored by a diverse cohort of board-certified dermatologists in a variety of conditions. Upon completion, she became a Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner. Shimika Barrolle is a highly knowledgeable and empathetic provider. She is passionate about providing high-quality dermatologic care to her patients and community. She looks forward to treating and building a good rapport with her patients.

SMH: The receptionist originally said my referral was incorrect. When I double-checked, it was clear she didn’t know what she was looking at — it was the correct referral. I was then told to have it faxed while waiting, only for her to later claim it had to be done online.
Instead of taking accountability or ensuring my appointment was properly scheduled, the manager offered excuses — falsely claiming they called me and I didn’t answer, and that I should’ve made sure the referral was in their system. (Only a medical team can do that.)
After arriving early and waiting 40 minutes without being seen, I left disappointed. Don’t waste your time here. This office seems more skilled at deflecting blame and covering their mistakes than at booking appointments. Their lack of diligence and professionalism says it all.

The staff at the front were helpful and very friendly. I waited no more than 5 minutes then I was escorted to the examination room, when the doctor came in she was very pleasant, she greeted me and introduced herself. As we talked I felt that she really listened to me. She was compassionate and informative. I felt that I was in great hands I left feeling more knowledgeable about my issue. I am thankful that I found Dr. Barolle.

Dr. Shimika Barolle is an excellent dermatologist. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. She spent time doing a cancer skin check and named and pointed out all the various moles and sun spots. She is very knowledgeable about estrogen loss related skin issues for women. I highly recommend her.
